Let me rock your world
Grandad January 3rd, 2007
I like a bit of music.
Normally I listen to the likes of ClassicFM or LyricFM. I set the volume to around three or four, and I find them soothing to listen to in the background. They don’t have much talking, just music. And their presenters don’t have mid-Atlantic accents [or Tallaghtfornian, as we call it here].
Sometimes I like something a little different.
I bought myself the Queen Platinum Collection. It arrived yesterday morning.

There is only one problem with Queen - they have to be played at high volume. And I mean high. We are talking about setting the volume to around twenty.
No sooner had I put the disks in and hit the play button when the phone rang - it was the Valentia Observatory complaining again. Apparently I have upset their seismological measurements yet again. They said they had only just recalibrated after my last bout of Dire Straits. I told them they must be imagining it, but they e-mailed me their graphs.

I must say it’s impressive. You can see the precise point the track started, and the build up into the Bohemian Rhapsody. Apparently I managed to hit a 3 on the Richter Scale, which isn’t bad. Especially as I am over a hundred miles away from them.
So anyway, I had to turn it down a bit. People were actually starting to move out of the area. Luckily Herself can sleep through anything [except for some reason if I come in from the pub a bit late].
Anyway, you can’t beat Freddie Mercury and the Gang for clearing the cobwebs out of the eaves, the rats out of the basement and unwanted guests overstaying their Christmas welcome.

Hear! hear! Definitely nothing like a blast of Queen music first thing in the morning to shake up the neighbourhood!
Yay
Did you feel my concert in your area?
I had some complaints from Belfast…..
