Irish Blog Awards

Grandad January 11th, 2007

The Irish Blog Awards are on this year on March 3rd in Dublin.

Nominations are now open.

So nip over there and vote for your favourite Irish Blog.

Modesty forbids that I should even suggest voting for this one [cough, cough].

I might stick myself in under the Newcomer category, but I think I’ll skip the Business category, as I have no business in there. I’ll also skip the Podcasting thing too, as I’ve never cast a pod in my life. As for the Irish? Nah!

Anyway, nominations have to be in by the 26th of January. So get voting.

I did it in the newcomer division. For you, not Twenty Major.

Thanks Popeyemoon. Someone likes me :)

Anyway Twenty Major doesn’t count in that category as he has been around for years, the f*ck*ng c*nt!!! [Only kidding. Twenty and myself are old pals - we were talking at one stage about forming a Bearded Alliance against all other bloggers]

So infrequently am I asked to “nip” to anything. I am almost required to go, just so I might say that I nipped today.

I’m fixin’ to go vote, y’all.

I’m giving away my age again. I suppose ‘nip’ is a throwback to the 60’s or whatever. At least I manage to stop using ‘groovy’!!

Hey!!! I’ve just seen your latest post - cRANKy - I love it. Groovy. That is one I have to blog about :-)

Just voted you best newcomer but you also qualify for best personal blog imo. I believe you can be voted for more than one category but obviously “just the one” is best. Vote early and often!

    Thanks Skellig :-)

They are a little hazy about the rules:
    .
    # You can nominate more than one blog or blog post for the same category.
    # Encourage your readers to nominate you or a specific blog post of yours that they liked the most.
    .
So I don’t know for example if a reader can submit several posts from the one blog.

    Ah what the heck!

Count me in on that bearded alliance. Unless ye’re both already against me. In which case, I’ll have you both. Outside, now!

“Count me in on that bearded alliance. Unless ye’re both already against me. In which case, I’ll have you both. Outside, now!”

First of all, you have to provide proof of beard [include a whisker for DNA analysis in your next comment].
    .
I’ll let Twenty do the ‘outside’ bit. He is a lot younger and more used to these things.
    .
And we’re not against anyone unless they write about cheesy things like cooking or “what I bought in the shops yesterday” or “How to turn your Nokia 666 into a mobile phone”
