The truth hurts

Grandad July 20th, 2008

Herself: What did you write about today?

Me: Where?

Herself: On your site thing.

Me: Nothing.

Herself: You wrote about nothing?

Me: No. I didn’t write anything.

Herself: Why not?

Me: I had nothing to say.

Herself: That never stopped you before.

Me: That’s true.

  5. Charmed IRELANDon 20 Jul 2008 at 2:25 pm

  6. Grandad IRELANDon 20 Jul 2008 at 2:27 pm

Kate - Wind up? You have a very low opinion of me?

    Charmed - Years of practice!

Unfortunately, I’ll be doing a lot of talking today.
Was planning on writing something yesterday but had to go out with the family, so now I need to write it today…

Fire ahead, TheChrisD. We’re all waiting……….

Never - sweetness personified as I recall! How about another musical moment - I loved the other one!

I don’t know I watch many people go on for a long time talking about nothing. In fact we have a few who have talked about nothing for days, weeks, months, even years. In fact if you perfect this skill I am told that you can be very successful as a politician. If you think you might be going in this direction, please let us know so your friends can organize an intervention. Failing that we will make sure the euthanasia is a painless as possible.

I often get ‘that look’ from the wife when I come downstairs and find her surfing the net, it’s the look signifying disgust at the latest blog entry of mine she’s just read.

It’s 10 in the morning. I am recently out of my bed. cup of tea , Weetabix, the local rag and a walk in the park is the order of the day. I may do some work this afternoon. Y’all have as pleasant a day as I will.

Ah, come on Grandad. Hop on your soap box and speak your mind. :)

@tt That sounds like a winner to me! :)

Had a bit of a hiccup with Minefield. Does double the comment mean double the fun? :)

  16. Grandad IRELANDon 20 Jul 2008 at 5:14 pm

Kate - Musical moment? Pray enlighten Prin and me? Did I miss something too??

Prin - I usually have about twenty visitors a day. I make sure of that by visiting the site at least nineteen times.

Jim - The differency between myself and a politician is that when I say nothing, I am [reasonably] comprehensible when I say it. Politicians say nothing and leave everyone wondering what the hell they didn’t say.

Xbox - I hate that ‘look’. I get it every day. I’m almost getting used to it, but not quite yet. :(

TT - Congratulations! You have managed to say even less than me. :)

JD - Minefield? Something is wrong, all right. Either you should be using Firefox 3, or Gran Paradiso. Which?

  17. Jefferson Davis UNITED STATESon 20 Jul 2008 at 5:24 pm

Haha…Good one on you, sir. Firefox 3 it is then… :)

  18. Grandad IRELANDon 20 Jul 2008 at 5:31 pm

I’m ahead of you. I’m onto Gran Paradiso. ;)

A little selection of music. Most from the past, but one or two more up to date ones… “”

Well I liked it - I even left a comment on it - it got me through a house cleaning moment! Another one would be nice - do you take requests??????????
    Now there’s an idea ………

  20. Grandad IRELANDon 20 Jul 2008 at 6:31 pm

September the 9th 2007?? Good Grief! That’s nearly a year ago. Anyway, it is still there on my menu, if you want a listen, but I haven’t changed the tunes. :|

    Grandad,
Sometimes having nothing to say speaks volumes. Who said insight and introspections are useless? The less said the better………………..

  23. Grandad IRELANDon 21 Jul 2008 at 12:40 am

Kate - Sorry. Just woke up [in time to go to bed].

    John O - I’m saying nuttin’
