On solid ground

March 11th, 2011

It is easy to draw up a long list of faults with this country.

But at least it lies on solid ground.

So far.

You have to feel a dribble of sympathy for them though?

If we lose our compassion we are well and truly fucked.

I am in Cameroon where life is cheap.

Time we valued our fellow humans, I reckon.

The minute we lose our empathy is the minute we surely die ourselves.

Clearly, I had not heard the news when I posted my comment.  I can now understand where you were truly coming from. My sincere apologies, Cardi

It’s terrifying, really. I know people in Japan, but they’re on the west coast. The nuclear plants are a genuine concern globally now too. The thoughts and support of everyone on the planet should be with the Japanese right now.

Be careful that you do not tempt fate.

Remember that there is a hugh hole under the central bank in Dublin!   It is so large that the whole of Ireland could fall into it.

Well said Brighid – or should I say the Dalai Lama.

I have heard [but not witnessed] that there are jokes doing the rounds on Twitter and the like.

How fucking sick can you get?
